KCFR Fire Extinguisher Training Request Form

Fire extinguishers are only valuable if they are used properly.  Kootenai County Fire & Rescue (KCFR) offers fire extinguisher training for businesses and groups inside the Fire District response area on the second Wednesday of each month from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  All classes are by appointment only and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Fire Extinguisher Training program consists of two parts:  1) a short classroom discussion on the types of fire extinguishers and the proper use of them and 2) a demonstration fire set outside where participants get hands-on putting out a small fire.  KCFR provides all equipment however; there is a nominal fee to cover the costs to re-charge the extinguishers that are used in training.

Please complete the form below to request fire extinguisher training.   All requests must be submitted at least one week in advance of the requested tour date.  A Training Coordinator or District Officer will contact you by telephone and/or e-mail to confirm receipt of your request and to finalize your training.
