The Kootenai County Fire & Rescue Fire Marshal is responsible for insuring fire and life safety regulations are adhered to and for reducing the risk of fire loss in our commuinity.   The Fire Marshal also represents a vital communication link between our fire district, state and county government.

The Fire Marshal’s office provides plan review for land use and commercial construction, conducts annual fire and life safety inspections, conducts fire and arson investigations, and issues permits for firework displays, fireworks stands and special events.
